About
Nuts & Grains owner Libby Pier bought the store in December of 1994 when it was located on Marine Corp Dr. in Tamuning. It consisted of mostly Indian groceries, bodybuilding supplements, whole grains, legumes, nuts, snacks and drinks, as well as a frozen yogurt machine. Libby expanded the health food groceries, snacks, vitamins & minerals, and later included some deli items and smoothies.
In January of 1996, Nuts & Grains moved from Marine Dr. to the Gibson’s (now Guam Premier Outlets, or GPO) annex in Tamuning. Libby took advantage of the new space and expanded the lunch menu, as well as grocery items. Nine months later, the store moved to a house on Farenholt Ave. across Mega Drug in Tamuning. It was a lovely location with plenty parking and a cozy atmosphere. With a new chef, Nuts & Grains boasted daily specials as well as a variety of frozen yogurt flavors.
In September of 1999, Nuts & Grains moved once more to the OP Plaza behind Oka Payless on Farenholt Ave. in Tamuning, where it still stands today.
Our menu caters to vegetarians and not-so-vegetarians alike. We have ready to eat salads, quiche, pizzas, and more in our deli display for those who want something healthy on the fly. There are an array of drinks in our cooler to choose from, ranging from fruit flavored waters, all natural colas, juices, ginger brews, and mint chillers.
We are probably most famous for our smoothies, made with real fruit and nonfat frozen yogurt (lactose-free and low-sugar). They resemble a healthy shake, perfect for a hot day on Guam (everyday)!
Our egg salad sandwich does not contain as much fat as others because we use mustard and other ingredients for flavor. We offer a peanut butter and banana sandwich with or without honey, and as goes for all sandwiches (except burgers, which come on a whole wheat bun), you have a choice of whole wheat or multigrain bread.

"it's when I go to the store with the express purpose of eating there, that I really find a special solace and relaxation just from being there that elevates the meal to more of a spiritual retreat"
